   I went to Tamarack lodge as a hotel guest with my parents summers of 1965 through 1983 or 84. Reading all these research queries, brought back a flood of memories. looking to see if anyway else reads to this page, and feels the same. If you stayed at the Tamarack, or the Paramount or Homestead Bungalow Colonies, please email me: mzimmerman@aceav.com or margo@iopener.net Also looking to find out is the star colony still open. Also what happened to the Rose Motel, and the Vistula House, that were all down the road? Margot Zimmerman

   I worked at the Tamarack from 88-92. It totally burned down about 2 months ago.

   its not totally gone..........I was just there a week or so ago. There are some buildings standing along with the bungalows. I think only one building was destroyed by the fire.

   I stayed, or hung out at Tamarack during the late 60s. When I didn't have a room or couldn't find a hook up I would stay down the road at the Rose. I remember Bob Schafer. I was at the show when Buddy Hackett and Eddie Fisher appeared there together. I left NY in 69 and never went back to the mountains. I always find it very sad to visit the sites. Those were special times.
