After a miserable summer in the Catskills (1961); where I was fed garbage (as a Busboy) at a schlockhouse in Kerhonkson and got gastritis; and following that, a stint as a soda jerk in Lock Sheldrake, wher the owner underpaid his help and kept most of the tips, I decided never to spend a penny of my money inthe Catskills after I graduated Engineering School.
I had the satisfaction of blowing the whistle (NY State Labor Department) on the owner in Loch Sheldrake; and getting about $300.00 in back wages.
I imagine that many people of my generation were equally-abused; and took it out on the owners of resorts in the Catskills. Good riddance!
I'm sure the Catskills and those of us who cherish "our" fond memories of spending summers up there feel the same about bitter vindictive people such as yourself. Not everyone had those kind of experiences.
My Dad was a Busboy and a waiter in the Catskills and he said the food was among the best a worker anywhere could get. My Mom who grew up there and was a Camp Counselor at various Hotels there said the same.
Sad to see after nearly 40 years, how mature you've obviously become.
