It seems that every one I know, regardless of which camp they went to, heard one version or another of a Cropsey story. One man wrote on a message board that when he went to camp Orensika Sonikwa in 1972, they "had a framed article hanging up taken from the original newspaper printing of the Cropsey story. Is Cropsey his real name? I don't know but that is the basic true story." Got me wondering if there is any truth to this? Is this a case of a story that just got passed around and versions getting twisted with each telling or what? Cathy Novick
